Wonderful web site

In my first post (blog), I wrote that I had started writing articles for Amazon Mechanical Turk. Some of the articles were for the web site www.earfl.com. At this web site, people record short stories (less than 3 minutes) about interesting events and people in their lives. They do this just by using the phone.

People have recorded stories about secrets, confessions, fears, fantasies, tributes, memories related to favorite photos, etc. I have written stories about tributes, a photo, and my best friend.

A favorite story for many people is a tribute to a person's mother. This person talked about how her mother (even though dead) seems to send her special messages on her birthdays. My tribute story was about taking care of my uncle for 6 weeks, 24 hours a day. Relatives thought there was nothing terminally wrong with him, but as soon as I arrived I realized that there was. I am a professional caregiver and can notice things that others don't. All of his relatives were so grateful to me for taking care of him, and that they could come and see him in his apartment during his final days.

Another wonderful story is by a woman talking about the loss of her daughter at the age of 20. A favorite of mine is the story told by a young woman about her wonderful grandmother. She has such great memories of her, and learned so much from her.

I knew I would be a writer someday

I always knew that I would be a writer someday. 50 years ago, a friend said that he would publish a paper that I had written about the dead sea scrolls for a college class. He wanted me to "clean it up", but I was bored with it.

I wrote a thesis for my degree in college. It was about the early hackers. I created video courses and workbooks for an educational company. I wrote exercises for textbooks. I wrote critical letters to VP's of the companies I worked for. I got fired for one of them, but so did the VP that I criticized. All of my friends have told me that I should write a book about the interesting life that I have had.

A couple weeks ago I got the inspiration that the time had finally come for me to write on a regular basis. I started writing articles for something called Amazon Mechanical Turk. Today I got the idea to start writing a blog.
